PURPOSE
Clydevale farm at Macorna North, Victoria in North Central Victoria operates a large state of the art robotic compost barn dairy that milks ~500 cows, with irrigated paddocks growing annual pastures and winter crops.
The family are very passionate about the local environment and the ability for the farm to support environmental assets. They have undertaken revegetation projects replacing missing native species and fenced off areas to protect remnant ancient black box trees.
Clydevale farm backs onto Hird Swamp a lake on the Pyramid Creek system. Pyramid creek receives environmental flows from the VEWH to support large-bodied native fish.
